In the spirit of Valentine's Day, why don't we share some of our family love stories. Tell us your family love story. Ask your mother, your grandmother, your uncle, etc about how they found their significant other, or even share your own story!

Perchè non scambiarci le nostre storie d'amore familiari? Raccontiamole. Chiediamo a nostra madre, nonna, zio... a tutta la famiglia e agli amici. Ricordiamo anche storie che hanno fatto parte del patrimonio della nostra comunità.

Ci sono storie da raccontare che spesso hanno un significato che travalica l'esperienza personale.

nonna chose
her man
checking out a new store
with the other maids
the owner
a war vet - felice
back from la merica
she liked him from the start
the way
he said
the lemons were juicy

stretching the word
out
putting in more letters
months passed
nonna would shop
they would talk
one day
asking her to wait
to finish up
he pulled out
papers
addresses
to the town priest
the mayor
the banker, etc.
for nonna to check out
his standing
rumors
bad debts
bastard children
he held them out to nonna.
she said no
and watching his hands
drop to the counter
she said no
i do not need the papers
i have already written
a month ago
received the answers
and then
she said yes.
