Italian Language spoken in the Usa Among ourselves........

I`ve just finished the latest article about the Italian language[how wonderful,,"too bad I never learned it"it reflects our culture and etcccc,,].Seems to me that none ,o quasi,of the famosi interviewed spoke any Italian,but for excuses why not it seems that anche those will never cease.Ifeel for those teachers who continually get replaced by other languages or tech studies and are trying hard to do better than piece work cheerleading artcles about the slow but steady diminishing act of Our Lingua being pushed aside all over the academic world.If these "pezzi da Novanta"[Bartiromo& others}cannot be examples of such a big step what are the Realistic chances of a future Marcia Indietro?What are they REALLY doing? Reading,se l fanno, Translated works by Italian writers from Alfieri,Ariosto to Eco,Ungaretti and Virga?? Of course ,even that i doubt it!! How can those ipocriti bugiardi can enjoy the slangs,dialects,and accents which reflect not only "education" ,but especially local "flavors" such as the expressive neapolitan wise creack,or the heavy three voweled palermitan swear words,or the sweetest Italian from a feminine Ciociara voice,without ignoring the Northern Venezian arrogance,or the welcoming language of Emilia Romagna? How does one distinguish those linguistic differences? From a culture which was unable to learn the simple decimal Metric System? Don` t mention the conjugations and labyrinthian grammar from this fantastic phonetic language. It`s like making someone with dead nostrils being taught about the aromas of marinara sauce or the smell of fresh- baked potato bread from Abruzzo!! I can`t!!Since i keep on reading about Toscana and IL Alighieri ,I`ll close with .." Lasciate Ogni speranza Voi che entrate" ,but i would rather finire con "GLI ASSENTI HANNO TORTO''... beacause there was no realistic response to those excuses , cioe`, quotes ,from gente Illustre ma,,,, ignorante sul tema. Sorry Maria,but i listen to you when it comes to financial stuff, but no sulle mille scuse perche` gli Americani di razza Italiana non imparano la lingua.Siete pigri su queste cose,e non soltanto voi,guardiamo alla FBI,ed CIA,,they are always looking for translators; it`s a hard job,,, for the mind. Si`, ha ragione. Non ci siano scuse per non imparare l'Italiano. Come ci si possa considerare l'Italiano senza sapere neanche una parolina tranne per quanto riguardo il cibo.

Carissima Ms. Rubino[that `s a last name that brings memories,,]non credo che ci sia un altra nazione,forse oltre la G.Bretagna,la madrigna,che sia tanta taciturna e testadura su questi temi[lingue e sistema metrico].Forse,just maybe, aspettano l`invenzione di una pillola con la quale possono imparare frettolosamente.Ecco che nascono " compagnie ladre di promesse" come Rosetta Stone;"Learn to speak a for. language in 10 minutes".It must be microwavable!!!ahahaah!! Sig.ra Rubino,conosco Williamsburgh,cioe` so dov`e` ,io abitai in bensonhurst x un anno,mail cognome Rubino mi porta ricordi da quando ero bimbo,un 7-8 anni, e facendo consegne a domicilio x il negozio di frutta e verdura e salumeria di mio padre.Una delle clienti era la Rubino ,indelibile perche` nn dava mai una misera monetina di mancia,nn che me ne facevo tanto ma dopo tanti anni era ridicolo!!E poi quando dovemmo lasciare la citta di Palermo x recarci negli Usa,la Rubino aveva ancora un conto sospeso,,,dopo un anno e piu` che avevamo venduto il recapito,,,,.TIRCHIA!! saluti vicino al mare ...........
