My father was born in Italy (Chieti) and came here with his mother when he was four years old. He instilled a great love for the country and the culture of Italy in me and I've been fortunate to visit several times. I am an education consultant, working with children directly as well as their parents, their teachers and others to enhance the skills of individuals with learning disabilities. My specialty area is the gifted dyslexic and I am past president of the NY Branch of the International Dyslexia Association and still serve on their board. I have published articles and chapters in books about learning disabilities and have spoken across the country on the topic. My passion outside of my work is live theater and I attend over 100 live performances a year. I love visiting museums and have a wide range of interests in art and architecture from ancient art through the Renaissance to some moderns. I also enjoy the ballet and live music from opera to cabaret.
Favorite Music:
Beethoven Quartets, Chopin, many others but I also enjoy Broadway musicals, cabaret, and other more modern samples.
Favorite TV Shows:
John Stewart, Keith Olberman, Times Talks, Theater Talk, but also an occasional Mad Men, Grey's Anatomy, In Treatment, Brothers and Sisters, and Ugly Betty.
Hometown:
Cleveland
